ExecuFunction started as a personal project — a way to manage the chaos of ADHD, a career, relationships, and ambitions. It became something bigger.
The idea for ExecuFunction came from a simple frustration: every productivity system requires you to already be productive. They assume you can sit down, open the app, categorize your tasks, set due dates, plan your week, and then execute. But if you could do all that consistently, you wouldn't need the app.
That question became ExecuFunction. An AI system that understands your calendar, breaks down your projects, remembers the people in your life, and learns your patterns over time. Through conversation, not forms.
We built it for ADHD brains first, because that's where the gap is widest. But the truth is, everyone struggles with executive function to some degree. Everyone has days where they know what they need to do but can't seem to start. Everyone forgets important details about the people they care about. Everyone over-commits because they can't visualize their actual available time.
We're building in public and iterating fast. The product is imperfect and evolving.

Six beliefs that guide the product.
Frictionless Capture
If adding a task requires more effort than doing the task, something is wrong. Just talk. The AI categorizes, schedules, and links it to the right project.
Proactive, Not Reactive
Surface what matters before the user thinks to ask. Morning briefings, birthday reminders, scheduling conflicts.
Trustworthy AI
The AI takes real actions (scheduling, creating tasks, sending messages) with clear confirmation. Useful over impressive.
Context, Not Chaos
Every piece of information should connect to every other piece. Your tasks know about your calendar. Your calendar knows about your people. Your AI knows about all of it.
Reality-Grounded
Plans must respect the constraints of reality — actual calendar availability, actual energy levels, actual time to commute. The Reality Grid isn't aspirational. It's honest.
Silent Learning
The system gets smarter over time without requiring the user to teach it. Every conversation is data: preferences, patterns, relationships.
Why "ExecuFunction"?
A set of mental skills that include working memory, flexible thinking, and self-control. These skills help you manage time, pay attention, switch focus, plan and organize, remember details, and multitask.
Executive function is the cognitive infrastructure that most people take for granted. It's the ability to bridge the gap between wanting to do something and actually doing it. ExecuFunction is the tool that fills that gap — a prosthetic for the planning, organizing, and executing that your brain struggles to handle alone.

How much should the AI do without asking?
There's a tension between being proactive and being intrusive. We're experimenting with different levels of AI autonomy — from gentle suggestions to taking actions on your behalf. The right balance probably varies per person.
What's the right pricing model?
AI costs real money. We want ExecuFunction to be accessible, especially to the ADHD community it's built for. We're exploring models that keep the core free while sustaining development through power-user features.
How do we handle the intimate nature of this data?
ExecuFunction learns deeply personal things about you — your habits, relationships, struggles. We take this responsibility seriously. We're exploring end-to-end encryption, local-first architectures, and giving users granular control over what the AI remembers.
Can an AI truly understand ADHD?
We don't think AI "understands" ADHD in a human sense. But we can build systems that are designed around ADHD patterns rather than against them. The question is how far we can push personalization while maintaining reliability.
Where does this go long-term?
The end state is a cognitive partner that helps you make better decisions and maintain relationships over years. We're building toward that one feature at a time.
